If you've never knit a bottom-up sweater before, then you're in for a treat! This is a fantastic first sweater for a beginner or any skill level. Using super bulky yarn, this sweater knits up crazy fast and the bottom-up construction means you can work the sleeves and body separately! Making it a portable project you can take anywhere. And I have a video tutorial available to make adding the sleeves to the body easier! You can find that video here: https://youtu.be/oMFxB2FIZcc

For this pattern you'll need to know how to knit the knit stitch, purl stitch, and basic k2tog and ssk decreases. Experience biding off in the middle of your work is helpful as well.

It uses between 275 yards and 350 yards (250-330m) of a super bulky weight cotton tube yarn like Bernat Maker Big and 10mm and 15mm (US 15+19) circular needles with a cord long enough to accommodate 120 stitches.

DPNs or 16" circulars in the same size may be used for the sleeves and neck but I think an interchangeable needle set is best so you can make the cord longer or shorter as you go!

When you purchase this pattern you get a downloadable PDF file containing:

  • -a full list of required materials, finished project photos
  • -a step by step written pattern explaining how to create this sweater in sizes small, medium, large and extra large

There is no shipping charge for this item as it is a PDF file and will be sent out within 24 hours of payment. If you don't receive it within 24 hours, please, contact me
